WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

On World Environment Day, politicians, researchers, and representatives from higher education gathered in Grândola for a debate on public policies. The roundtable discussion was moderated by journalist Ana Daniela Soares and included the participation of the Mayor of Grândola, the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Higher Education, the Minister of Environment and Climate Action, the Vice-President of CCDR Alentejo, the Director of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, the Rector of the University of Évora, the Rector of the Nova University of Lisbon, the President of the Board of SMART FARM COLAB, and a Director from CHANGE. The event, held at Herdade da Ribeira Abaixo in the Serra de Grândola – a privileged location for research and teaching in ecology and environmental changes – was organized by CHANGE – Institute for Global Changes and Sustainability.
